* The Under 25 Prize is reserved exclusively to the candidates born after the 25th of July 1994 and it will be awarded to the best singer who is under 25 years of age that reaches the semi-final. If the winner does not get to the final they will still be invited to perform at the final Concert that will take place in the square of Portofino (Italy), on the 24th of July.

The International Opera Competition of Portofino (Italy), was founded in 2015 to combine the beauty of a place symbol of Italy with the voices of the world most promising young opera singers.
CLIP provides the opportunity to young talents to win significant cash prizes and to find concrete work opportunities in the major European opera theaters.
The Jury is composed exclusively by directors and casting mangers of outstanding opera entities, allowing the direct contact between the singer and those who have the ability and desire to sign contracts without intermediate steps.
The competition ends with a great concert of the finalists with Orchestra in the historic "Piazzetta" of Portofino (Italy).

CASH PRIZES

  • First Prize Francesco Brioschi Editore: 8.000 €
  • Second Prize: 4.000 €
  • Third Prize: 2.000 €
  • Best under 25 Prize*: 3.000 €

SPECIAL PRIZES

  • Contracts with the theatres: that are represented by the judges to be decided.
  • Audience Award: a precious jewel offered by Faraone Gioielli.
  • Scholarships: Each finalist will receive a scholarship of 400 euros.
  • New Generation Festival Award: a contract for a role or a concert to be held within 3 years after the competition
  • Mascarade Opera Studio Prize: a scholarship for the Mascarade Opera Studio that will take place in Firenze at the Palazzo Corsini al Prato for a finalist chosen by the Artistic Direction of CLIP and the Mascarade Opera Studio (accommodation and board are not included).
  • Rapallo Opera Festival Award:a paid participation for some singers selected by Maestro Roberto Servile at the Rapallo Opera festival.
