Enrico Fagone
Artistic Director of Bottesini Competition
Enrico Fagone graduated cum laude at the conservatory “Giuseppe Nicolini” of Piacenza (Italy) with MºLeonardo Colonna and completed his studies with internationally renowned masters including among others Franco Petracchi (Fondazione W.Stauffer of Cremona) and Klaus Stoll.
He won important national and international Competitions and He is regularly invited to important chamber music Festivals all over the world, where he collaborates with artists such as Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, Vadim Repin etc.
He is regularly invited as double bass soloist all over the world, accompanied by several orchestras such as National Youth Strings, Cameristi del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Napa Valley Simphony, Orchestra of Rosario, National Orchestra of Paraguay, I Musici di Parma, Dallas Symphony Orchestra etc.
He recorded for the record labels EMI e Warner (Martha Argerich&friends) and Stradivarius ("Bottesini duets”) which has received many acknowledgements.
He is a professor at the Conservatorio of Lugano, Switzerland and He regularly holds Courses and Master Classes in several countries in the most important University in the World such as Juilliard school of New york, Royal College of Music of London, Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, Toho Gakuen of Tokio etc.

In the 2012 The Bottesini Association invited him to perform Concert at the birthplace of Bottesini in Crema-Italy, It was the first concert ever performed there.
He is Ambassador of the Martha Argerich Presents Project in the world and Artistic Director of Bottesini Competition.
